In a nutshell, how we see ourselves as a church is in our name:
Christ
Jesus Christ and His kingdom are at the centre of everything we are and do as a church. The word, ‘Christ’, means ‘anointed king’ in the Bible, so Jesus is the king we need to rescue us from sin and rule us in love. We exist to worship Him and make him known, along with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit – One God in three persons.

What We Believe
The most important thing you need to know about our beliefs is that they centre on Jesus.
Christians can and do disagree on many things, but all of us are united in our love of Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Saviour of the world. At Christ Church, we gladly welcome every follower of Jesus as our brother or sister in Christ, regardless of whether or not they share all of the beliefs outlined below.
We are an evangelical church. This means that the good news of Jesus and his salvation is the very heart of what we believe. It also means that we believe that the Bible is God’s complete, perfect, and unchanging word to the world. We believe God’s Word is powerful to save and change us and so we are committed to teaching the Bible at each service.
We are a reformed church. Christ Church Salisbury is not part of something new; our roots go back to the earliest Christian churches, whose teaching was summarised in the Apostles’, Nicene and Athanasian creeds, and we happily subscribe to these. We also gladly embrace the confessions and catechisms which came out of the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century as faithful reflections of the teaching of the Bible.
We are a Presbyterian church. Christ Church is part of the International Presbyterian Church (IPC).
