Our Leadership

Mark Payne, Pastor

Mark Payne

Mark became a Christian in South Africa, and has lived in the UK since the mid-90’s with his wife Sarah and their two daughters. After a career in business he studied theology at Union School of Theology in Wales, and was called as our Minister in July 2019. He enjoys reading, walking, and is a Springbok rugby fan – but we try not to hold that against him.

David Thornhill-Smith

Assistant Minister

David was brought up in a Christian home and is grateful to the Lord Jesus for dying and rising again for sinners just like him. Originally from Sheffield, he has spent the last decade in the South working for a church in Bournemouth and then studying theology at Oak Hill College in London. David and his family moved to Salisbury in the summer of 2021 to join the family at Christ Church. In his spare time, he follows the highs and lows of Sheffield Wednesday, has a go at gardening and enjoys spending time with his family.

Alan Finch, Elder

Alan Finch

Alan enjoyed the privilege and delight of being brought up in a loving Christian home in Northern Ireland. He trained as an Actuary in London before moving to Salisbury in 2002, where he works and lives with his family. He enjoys many things in life including reading, cross-fit and good coffee.
